Today’s post will be a call for introspection. A time to do a deep and thorough assessment of where you are currently. What has changed?

”Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then has the health of the daughter of my people not been restored?“ - Jeremiah‬ ‭8‬:‭22‬ ‭

In the Hebrew culture, oxen would typically work in sets of two. They are yoked together with a long curved wooden bar shaped to fit the back of their necks, with hoops at each end.

When I was in high school, my favorite sport I participated in was track. I was avid in relay races and my greatest event was hurdling. When I first started out, my knees would smack the hurdles consistently.

Make up your mind… Hmmmm. When I think of what make up your mind means, I immediately think about a mind that is set, steadfast, and firm on a decision.

So what hinders a made up mind?

Joash, the king of Israel, was about to be attacked by the Syrian army. Elisha the Prophet had become sick and Joash came down to seek counsel from him. Therefore, Elisha instructs Joash to take a bow and some arrows and draw it. And Joash did as such.

It is very easy to listen when words spoken are traveling in the same direction as one’s desires. But how does one respond when words go in the opposite direction? When words spoken are hard?

What is flesh? The flesh is identified as your physical body or human nature. Your flesh only has desires to live for self and nothing else. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh.

Mirrors by design are meant to be a clear and perfect likeness of who one is and allows one to see themselves (through the lens of an another) in one’s current state. A mirror functions as an instrument used for transformations.

Stepping outside of one’s area of comfort can seem intimidating at times. Being afraid of the unknown can often rest heavy upon ones heart. However, Yahuah is seeking to grow you in this season. He is requiring you to trust Him (Joshua 1:9). Nothing grows in comfort!

In Jerusalem there is a pool beside the sheep gate. In Hebrew it is called, Bethesda. It has five porches, and a crowd of people who were sick, blind, lame or helpless were lying there, waiting for the water to move, for an malak of Yahuah went down into the pool at certain times and stirred the water; and the first person who stepped into the water after it was stirred was made well, no matter what disease he had.
